Traveller Pride Week 2013

Traveller Pride week was a huge success again this year.  A series of craft workshops were held across Offaly in which Traditional Traveller craftsmen and women taught skills such as tin-smithing and embroidery.  An exhibition of the crafts and also peices of work from artists within the Offaly Traveller community was put on firstly in the Bridge Centre shopping complex, Tullamore and then in the Offaly County Council offices.  The feedback from both the Traveller and settled communities was positive and much interest was shown in these traditional arts.  Roll on 2014!
